Queer Space is a drop-in group for all girls and trans youth of any gender who are queer identified and/or are exploring their gender or sexual/romantic identity. Body Positive Ophelia’s Place | Albany

Body Positive Ophelia’s Place is an 8-week group developed for girls, non-binary, gender nonconforming, and gender fluid folks to gain support around body image and learn how to help others who have difficulty accepting their bodies. The group will help participants to reclaim health, practice self-care, cultivate self-love, find inner strength, and build community. Body Positive Ophelia’s Place uses the Be Body PositiveTM curriculum – a program based in research and Health at Every SizeTM. Informed consent (guardian, if under 14) required prior to first attendance.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for Teens (MBSR-T) | Albany

Stress levels are high for a lot of us right now! Join us for MBSR-T, an 8-week group aimed at helping to reduce stress, learn coping skills, and practice self-care. This group is facilitated by OP therapists who will teach fundamental and foundational mindfulness skills and encourage teens to direct their attention toward that which nourishes and fills them up rather than on that which drains and depletes them. Participants must be able to commit to weekly attendance.

OP Queer Space is a drop-in support group for members of the LGBTQIA+/Queer community. This space is for all girls and trans youth of any gender who are queer identified and/or are exploring their gender or sexual/romantic identity. Trans girls, cis girls, trans boys, gender fluid and nonbinary folks are all welcome to participate. This group provides professional and peer support helpful in managing challenges faced by queer and trans youth. OP group facilitators focus on empowerment and community building from a strengths-based, relational approach. Come build your queer community! Regular attendance is not required. Registered youth can attend on a drop-in basis.

And what better way to warm up on a cool day than making some delicious food! For this activity, we will make pumpkin pancakes and create cottagecore-inspired recipe books for all our favorite fall recipes.
