Parent-Daughter Circle is an 8-week group developed for girls, non-binary, gender nonconforming, and gender fluid folks and their parent/guardian to work together to strengthen their relationships. Staff therapists facilitating the group offer guided discussions, interactive skill-building activities, and creative expression. Youth and the adults in their lives often share that communication and connection can be challenging. This group works to change that, and participants regularly tell us that the group has helped them build stronger, more engaged relationships with one another. This year’s Parent Daughter Circle will meet weekly, during winter term, in a virtual format. Advance registration and a commitment to weekly attendance will be required. Informed consent required prior to first attendance.

Fall is the perfect time to tap into your cottage-core aesthetic! Youth are invited to bring an adult of their choice to this crafting session, where we will be making mushroom-themed jewelry and decorating baskets with hidden compartments. It’s also a great time to show off your favorite cottage-core outfits and play around in our photobooth! Not sure what cottage-core is? No worries! We’ll walk you through it – no previous cottage-core experience required. Costumes are welcome but not required.

OP recognizes an expansive definition of girl. OP is for all trans girls and cis girls, as well as for nonbinary youth, gender nonconforming youth, and genderqueer youth, who feel or have a connection to girlhood or girlness. Welcome to your space!

Parent-Daughter GirlCon
Ages 10-18 + a guardian of their choice
GirlCon is back in-person! Hosted at our OP Eugene site, we will have a variety of Comic Con-style workshops and activities for youth and a guardian of their choice to participate in. Workshops will include fanfiction writing, fanart/original character creation, and a chance to work on making your own cosplay accessories! And of course we can’t have GirlCon without our Cosplay Fashion Show, so come dressed in your best cosplay and sign-up if you want to strut your stuff on the runway!
Making Place Books | Eugene

For youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their guardian
Join us at OP Eugene for our Place Books Parent-Daughter Workshop. We will create "Place Books" to record thoughts, feelings and to make art. We will find creative courage together to do visual journaling and to express our authentic selves. "Place Books" are creative journals that invite us to express ourselves through art in fun and meaningful ways. Skill building in self acceptance, self awareness and social skills will be part of this art workshop. Registration limited.
